FAQs

What do you use my information for?
You’re part of the St Leonard’s family of supporters. We love to keep you updated with our latest news and let you know about campaigns such as Light up a Life and events such as our Midnight Walk. You can let us know at any time if you don’t want to receive this information anymore.

Why are you contacting me about this?
The way data is handled has changed so much since the last law was passed that the government is updating the rules. We now need explicit consent to be able to contact you. We take your privacy very seriously so we think the changes are a good idea. It will also help us to understand how you’d prefer us to contact you.

I already receive emails/letters from St Leonard’s Hospice. Do I need to do anything?
Yes please! Even though you hear from us currently we need your consent by 6th January 2018, otherwise this will stop.Because the law is changing, we need to make sure you’re happy for us to carry on contacting you. You can let us know that’s OK by filling in the form you may have received in the post, or filling the form in online here.

I’m a regular donor to St Leonard’s Hospice. Do these changes affect my ongoing support?
No. Thank you so much for supporting us! This is just about the way we communicate with you.

How will you contact me in future?
We’re really careful not to overload you with messages and we promise that won’t change. This just means you’ve given us consent to be in touch - and you get
to choose how you’d rather we communicate.

Will you ever share or sell my information with anyone else?
We promise we’ll never sell your details to anyone. Please take a look at our privacy policy or get in touch with us if you have any further questions.
