Payroll Giving

Give a tax-free donation directly from your salary every month, and help us provide vital care to our patients and their families.

Payroll Giving - also known as Workplace Giving and Give As You Earn, is not only a simple way to support St Leonard’s but also the most tax effective. Donations are deducted before you pay tax, for example, if you donate £10, only £8 comes out of your salary and the taxman pays the rest. Or if you're on a higher tax rate (40%), only £6 comes out of your salary and the taxman pays the rest.

Can anyone join a Payroll Giving Scheme?

Yes, provided your employer is registered with a payroll giving agency. We can ask your employer to sign up if they are not already registered.

Why is Payroll Giving Important?

Regular gifts help St Leonard’s Hospice plan future care with a little more confidence, as well as keeping administration costs to a minimum. A monthly gift will go to work straight away in your local area, helping us to
provide vital care to our patients and their families.

How do I join?

For information on how to join a scheme, please call our Corporate Fundraiser, Annie Keogh on 01904 777777 or email annie.keogh@stleonardshospice.nhs.uk.

How much should I give?

You can give any amount you wish. Your support is vital to us.

Can I cancel/increase my donation at any time?

Yes, you can increase, decrease or cancel at any time - just tell your payroll department at work.
