Memory Tree

The St Leonard’s Hospice Memory Tree is a unique and beautiful installation, offering people the opportunity to dedicate a leaf to a loved one. We will then place it on our tree.

The Memory Tree is situated close to the main reception at the Hospice on Tadcaster Road, discreetly placed on the wall outside our Family Room, where it is complemented by the newly landscaped gardens.

Each of its 350 leaves can be inscribed with the name of a loved one as a wonderful and meaningful tribute to their memory. To dedicate a leaf to a loved one we ask that you make an annual donation of £150 or more. You will be helping to raise money to support and care for other patients and their families, at a time when they need us the most.

It costs almost £5m each year to provide our vital services, and with limited NHS funding, we need to fundraise a large percentage of this.  We therefore rely on our local community to help us raise money each year so we can continue being there for local families facing one of the most difficult journeys in life. The St Leonard’s Hospice Memory Tree is a unique and beautiful installation, offering people the opportunity to dedicate a leaf to a loved one.
