Midnight Walk 2017

Take this opportunity to walk the historic streets of York after hours. Claim the streets in the name of St Leonard's Hospice.

This year the event is open to all - men, women and children, so get your team together and paint the town neon! Ready, set, GLOW for St Leonard's!

Starting from York College, the route is a 6.5 mile circular route taking you across the Knavesmire, along the river Ouse and directly to the sights and sounds of York City Centre. A team of friendly marshals will be on hand along the way to ensure everyone is safe and having a great time.

Harry 'Hometime' and Minster FM will be on hand to keep us entertained from 9pm, with a host of other glowing surprises to get everyone ready. We are very excited to be joined by Thomas of ‘Clubbercise with Thomas’ for the warm up which will surely get everyone ready and raring to glow!

People are encouraged to GLOW for St Leonard's on the night, whether that is with a single glow stick or head-to-toe neon. There will be merchandise available to buy both on the night and at one of our Open Days in April and May (dates TBC.)
Think Clubbercise, glow sticks, light-up selfie stops, fluorescent sculptures, Day-Glo dancers - a real party atmosphere!

And it wouldn’t be a St Leonard's Hospice Midnight Walk without a bacon sandwich and a cuppa waiting for you at the end of it all!

Entry costs £17 for adults and £12 for children.

Walk in memory of a loved one, as a way of keeping fit while having fun with friends and family, or simply to do something a little bit different with your Saturday night. Whatever your reasons, you will be generating essential funds for St Leonard's Hospice.

It costs around £4.85million per year to run the hospice, so your support and sponsorship efforts are vital in making sure we can continue to provide care and support to those in our community facing a life-limiting condition. Please raise as much as you can and proudly GLOW for St Leonard's!
