Fundraising Volunteering

Every year we face the huge challenge of ensuring enough support is generated from our community to help meet the running costs of the Hospice.

Supporting fundraising is one of the most flexible ways of volunteering at St Leonard’s. Whereas some voluntary work involves a set commitment in terms of days and times, as a fundraising volunteer you can choose to help us on a regular basis or just at occasional events.

There is also more scope to help during evenings and weekends, so if you need to fit your voluntary work around other daytime commitments, then this could be the best match for you.

Here are just some of the ways you can help us
  • Give short talks about the charity or collect cheques on our behalf (after training)
  • Deliver and pick up our collection boxes
  • Help with street or store collections in your area
  • Help with a wide range of fundraising events in the local community (including set up and break down, help on stalls, marshal etc.)
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as photocopying, inputting data and putting together mailings.

How do I apply to become a volunteer?

Our volunteers play a huge part in our organisation and without them we could not do what we do.
