About the Hospice

What is a hospice?

Our Hospice is a place where people go that can’t get better with medicine, which means they have what is called a terminal illness.

Nurse and patient

Hospices are there to make life as good as possible for the time that people have left to them. The patients are helped by a lot of people to make them feel the best they can, making them comfortable and controlling their pain. We try to make our patients' lives as good as possible, providing fun activities and making new friends.

The Hospice offers Respite Care. Patients come to the Hospice for a short period so the people that have been caring for them can get a well earned break. Not only do we offer support for the patients and their families, we do our best to make people feel better so they can get on with life and keep symptoms under control.

We need your help!

Lenny collecting

It doesn’t matter how much money patients have got because hospices are totally free to patients and their families. That means we need your help to fundraise to allow the Hospice to keep up its good work.

How about organising your own event or coming along to one of ours?
