From York Railway Station
Follow signs to LEEDS (A 64). Keep in the inside lane at the traffic lights, to turn right at the cross roads into Blossom Street. Continue straight on for nearly two miles (passing the race course on your left) to a roundabout. Go straight on; the Hospice is the first turning to the left after the roundabout.
From A 64 (eastwards from Leeds/A1)
Turn off A64 at York (West) A1036 (Racecourse) sign. Follow road to traffic lights and bear left. The Hospice is to the right just before the roundabout.
From A 64 (westwards from Malton/Scarborough)
Turn off A64 at York (West) A1036 (Racecourse) sign. Follow loop road and go straight on to traffic lights. Bear left. The Hospice is to the right just before the roundabout.
From A19 (southwards from Teesside/Thirsk) and A59 (eastwards from Harrogate)
Join York Outer Ring Road (A1237) and turn right (anticlockwise). Follow the Ring Road to the roundabout at its junction with the A64, taking the left hand lane, signed Scarborough, Hull. Join the A64 and leave at the next exit, signed York (West) A1036 (Racecourse). Follow road to traffic lights and bear left. The Hospice is to the right just before the roundabout.
From A19 (northwards from Selby)
At roundabout by A64 follow signs for Leeds. Turn off A64 at York (West) A1036 (Racecourse) sign. Follow road to traffic lights and bear left. The Hospice is to the right just before the roundabout.
By public transport
From York Railway Station (Stop G) take the Park & Ride White Line (service No 3) to the Askham Bar terminus, by the Tesco store. The Hospice is just across the main road from the car park.
Park & Ride buses run from the city centre to Askham Bar:
Monday to Saturday every 10 minutes from 7.15am to 8.05pm (6.15am to 7.15am, every 15 minutes).
Sunday every 10 minutes from 10.15am until 6.00 pm.
