Anita was an amazing friend, and brilliant and loving wife, mummy, daughter and sister. Diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer at the end of January 2018 - something which came completely out of the blue - Anita embarked on an intense and incredibly brave fight against it, undergoing surgery and chemotherapy which took a huge amount of her energy. Despite all of this, and although things were extremely tough for her, Anita was determined to spend as much time as possible making wonderful memories with her family and especially her beautiful daughters. She always focused on the positives of every day, no matter how big or small, and her mantra "Small Steps, Long March" became a way of life we all learned to appreciate. Sadly, Anita passed away at St Leonard's in July 2018, at the age of 37. She is missed every day, and her strength and courage remain an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. We have set up this page to raise money for St Leonard's, where Anita was able to spend her final days with her family around her, and where she received such compassionate care.
