Clive was a railway man through and through from the age of 18. His work eventually brought him to York from Essex in the early 2000s and after many years of the weekly commute back to Essex he made York his home. He was a frequent visitor to his favourite watering hole the York Tap, claiming it to be the best pint in town 'because it is brewed downstairs'. Clive loved to travel around the UK in his 70's VW Camper (when it worked) often taking in the delights of Scotland. His travels around Europe with his family created many memories for his 3 children. In recent years he broadened his travels to South East Asia, taking in the history, culture and most importantly the food. Clive was diagnosed with cancer 8 years ago, throughout his battle he always remained true to himself with a sense of humour that was typical of him. He took great pleasure in seeing peoples faces squirm as he told them the gory details of his latest hospital appointment. A true character with an eclectic sense of humour. He remained positive and fought till the very end.
