GERALD PATRICK COLBECK, Yorkshire man through and through, stubborn and hardworking, adoring husband to our mum Helen for over 50 years, political activist - both dad and mum were Labour Party members for over 40 years. Loving father, grandfather to Jacob, Vincent, Christy and Dermott who could do no wrong! Dad struggled after mum died in 2015 and as his own health deteriorated. In summer 2019 he was diagnosed with pancriatic cancer and after managing to tick one more thing off his bucket list (a trip to Jersey) he spent many weeks in hospital where he found himself in turmoil. Patrick and I will be forever grateful that he was able to leave hospital and spend his last weeks in the care of St Leonard's where he found peace at last, and for the tranquility it gave us to spend those last weeks with him in a loving and caring environment.
