We care.
It’s personal.

St Leonard’s Hospice provides care and support for terminally ill people, and people with life limiting illnesses. And we’ve been doing it for more than 35 years. Our patients’ needs are our priority, and our care is designed to make the best of their lives. At our Hospice, at home, and in our community.

Our care is rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We provide care for free, but it’s not free to provide.

We need to raise £7.9 million a year, and we make sure as much as possible goes directly to patient care and facilities.

Now more than ever, we need your help. So please donate now, visit one of our shops or join a fundraising initiative.

If it matters to you, it matters to us.

Our specialist teams provide round the clock care where patient needs are our priority. We support your individual journey, providing as much hope as we do help. It’s your life to live.

Every life is different.

And so is every illness. Lots of our patients are living with cancer, but we also care for a wide range of non-curable, life limiting illnesses. From respiratory problems and heart disease, to Parkinson’s and motor neurone disease.

Embracing everyone.

Our care is for anyone in the local community. We believe everyone should have access to the best possible care, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, identity and life experience.

Care in our home, or yours.

We provide round the clock care at our Hospice, or at home for those who need it. Over half our patients are inpatients, receiving help for complex symptoms before returning home again.

Finding time for family.

We’re always here to support families and loved ones, whatever stage of the journey they’re at. We allow a wife or husband to stop being a ‘carer’ and return to being a loving partner. We provide bereavement support to a son, a daughter, a brother, a friend.
