Gift Aid Awareness Day

The first ever Gift Aid awareness day takes place this year on Thursday 4th October. This campaign is intended to raise awareness about Gift Aid among charity staff, volunteers and donors following research estimating that up to £560m of Gift Aid goes unclaimed each year and is being missed out on by charities.

Did you know that if you're a UK taxpayer St Leonard's Hospice can reclaim 25p on every £1 that you donate at no extra cost to you? The objective is to get every charity donor who is eligible to #tickthebox. When donating online, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box or alternatively, you can fill in a Gift Aid declaration form to print off, fill in and hand in to the Hospice.

If you want to read more about Gift Aid, find out what the government says here. Alternatively, if you would like to speak to a member of the Hospice team about adding Gift Aid onto your donations, please call the fundraising team on 01904 777 777
