One Year On - A Time to Remember

We are launching a city-wide campaign to mark the one year anniversary of the first lockdown and recognise the impact the pandemic has had on local people.

On 23rd March 2020, everyone’s lives changed as we entered the first lockdown to help the fight against COVID-19. We recognise what a difficult year it has been for so many people in so many ways, and we are creating a lasting legacy to remember loved ones and lockdown moments - that will be looked back upon in years to come.

We are looking to seal your lockdown memories in a commemorative time capsule which will be sealed on 23rd March 2021 and opened again on our 70th anniversary (23rd March 2055) We want your contributions - we want your contributions whether it is a poem, a letter, a photograph of a loved one, a memory, your first face covering, vaccination record card, a drawing - anything that marks this extraordinary moment in time. To contribute to the time capsule, email your content to: timecapsule@stleonardshospice.org.uk

Children can get involved too!

We have produced these special sheets for children to colour in or tell us about their lockdown memory and send back to us for inclusion in the time capsule. Download these resources here:
