Virtual Advice & Support

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to make some changes to our services. At present, the Sunflower Centre and all its associated services has been suspended for the foreseeable future. Bereavement support is available but this will be telephone support until further notice. During the usual scheduled times for Bereavement Drop-in, you are welcome to call 01904 708 553 and a trained member of the bereavement support team will give you a call back.

The team have put together some downloadable resources and recorded some short videos of storybooks designed to help children talk about and deal with death. Find more information about our bereavement support here.

In the meantime, we have been working hard to provide some short videos that we hope will be of help at this time. We are adding to this page all the time to try and help as much as we can remotely.

Our Complementary Therapy Lead, Carole, has recorded a short video on breathing exercises and relaxation. It's an anxious time, and it is particularly important time to look after your well-being. Anyone can join in so watch and give it a try. We hope it helps!

Managing Breathlessness

We usually run 'Catch Your Breath' workshops every Thursday afternoon, specifically for patients living with breathlessness and fatigue. Our Therapy Team have collected together these downloadable resources and recorded video sessions that are full of information, reassurance and advice covering breathing exercises, managing anxiety, managing fatigue and maintaining activity while at home. We hope you will find them useful.
